After months of no blogs, here's a photo taken recently in Zambia plus a short video of the girls sewing school at the Lighthouse Project.
We've finally decided to use our front room to record our weekly TV programme called 'Victory in Jesus' following a lot of frustrating times at the TV studio in town. Pastors Mwambay & Kalenga and ourselves managed by pausing the video and changing positions according to which one of us needed to be videoed at the time!
There are now 25 girls doing a 2 year sewing course 5 mornings a week at the Lighthouse project.
The course is aimed at girls who have dropped out of school. The students are required to provide their own material, but tuition is free.
The girls are wearing outfits they have made.
Other lessons include: Literacy, French, Art, and Devotions.
We are excited to be involved in following up new churches started by bike evangelists.
The boys in order in the video are Kyungu in 6th year secondary school, Gilain in 2nd year, Eric in 1st year, Leandra in 5th year primary, Gaylor in 3rd year, Michel in 5th year primary, Genie in 2nd year and Mwila in 1st year.
