TV Recording

We've finally decided to use our front room to record our weekly TV programme called 'Victory in Jesus' following a lot of frustrating times at the TV studio in town. Pastors Mwambay & Kalenga and ourselves managed by pausing the video and changing positions according to which one of us needed to be videoed at the time!

Lighthouse Project Sewing School

There are now 25 girls doing a 2 year sewing course 5 mornings a week at the Lighthouse project.

The course is aimed at girls who have dropped out of school. The students are required to provide their own material, but tuition is free.

The girls are wearing outfits they have made.

Other lessons include: Literacy, French, Art, and Devotions.

Meet Mulamba Pastor Jean

Pastor Jean, of the Balamba tribe, came to one of the Lubumbashi suburbs more than a couple of years ago. We first met him when we visited our first Balamba work that had been started by the Bike Evangelists. God healed Jean's son and called him into the ministry.

Last week a freak 'tornado' went through his church and destroyed it. Six kids were playing inside and one sustained minor injuries, but fortunately nobody was seriously hurt.

Jean is used of the Lord in praying for the sick and is often sought by those wanting spiritual help.

The day that we went to see the church, we also went and got Jean's wife from the hospital, where she had given birth to a baby girl Gracia.
